The end of liberalism
Liberal ideology was born in the aftermath of the great religious civil wars in sixteenth- and seventeenth-century Europe. Protestant philosophers of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries were particularly afraid of stasis, fearing more than anything else the war of all against all that would lead to the extreme point of dissociation. To prevent its return, European jurisconsults and philosophers formulated a twofold solution: first, historically, the construction of the sovereign State, the Leviathan, a potentially totalitarian protective monster, and then liberalism, the axiological and ideological neutrality of this State. State neutrality is ontologically impossible because the State is necessarily structured by a religion or an ideology.
The modern State and liberalism, which emerged from the religious civil war, are in the process of disappearing in the current global civil war, which is superimposed on a pan-polemos that reveals insoluble contradictions. The State is no longer the guarantor of order and the protector of the people in the face of internal and external dangers. Liberalism mutated into neo-liberalism before being dissolved, and with it individual freedoms and the « free market ». What has emerged from this silent revolution is a Soviet-capitalist system: a totalitarian, tyrannical, privatised State run by a financial oligarchy that deliberately impoverishes the people it rules and wages biopolitical war against them. The consequence is civil war, the chaos typical of revolutions, with an aggravating dimension, which I will mention in a few moments.
In the current historical sequence, we are witnessing a revolution, triggered by the oligarchy, to change not only the political system, but also the social paradigm and the environment. The construction of a society stripped of the attributes of civilisation. No transcendent religion, no positive values, no culture, no unity, no family, no industry, no real economy, no trade. In short, a nihilistic utopia of techno-police digital surveillance, where man is replaced by machines and machines are used as weapons against people.
This is the face of neo-capitalism, which, no longer needing the middle classes, the proletariat or the human beings who make them up, has become a sacrificial economic system. In post-Christian, post-monotheistic societies, the value of man was reduced to that of a producer and consumer, within the framework of productivist and consumer capitalism ; but as soon as this capitalism became purely fictitious, the individual who still had an economic utility as a producer and consumer became « useless » and an enemy to be eliminated. This is not a flight of fancy or an exaggerated interpretation. In the history of humanity, sacrificial societies are not the exception but the norm. And economic sacrifice is nothing new ; it is an ancient practice, not confined to primitive societies. We must not be fooled in our analysis by the sophisticated and technologically advanced nature of modern Western societies. The Aztecs, who had a developed civilisation, writing, astronomy and a science of architecture, practised mass sacrifice for economic gain. Sacrifice was ritualised, dressed up in religious garb and justified by a founding myth, but it also had an economic and social function, that of reducing the number of prisoners of war and slaves, and with them a surplus of wealth and energy that was useless to society. They sacrificed between 20,000 and 100,000 people a year. It was the consummation of what George Bataille called « The Cursed Part ».
From the point of view of the Western oligarchy, most of us are not only « useless » to their system, but a political danger to them. It's easy to understand why Klaus Schwab's Israeli adviser, Yuval Noah Harari, contrasts those he calls « the gods », i.e. the members of the oligarchic caste, with those he describes as « useless », i.e. us. The establishment of a religious narrative - I'm thinking here of ecologism as a green religion - justifies the reduction of the world's population. « The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) stated in its 2009 report on the state of the world population, presented at the Copenhagen conference on 18 November 2009, that global warming can only be curbed by a massive reduction in the world's population », as reported in France's largest daily newspaper, Le Monde (18 September 2010), and in The Washington Post (15 September 2009). Infants are accused of producing too many carbons, which is harmful to Gaia ; the number of children born must therefore be reduced in order to save the Earth. Saving the planet, in the discourse of ecologism, has precisely the same function as myths in sacrificial societies.
For those who fanatically adhere to the green religion, the sacrifice is made voluntarily, like the Canaanites and the Hebrews who sacrificed their children to please Moloch or Yahweh. For the others, civil war is inevitable, but this is no longer the stasis of the Greeks, or the religious civil wars of the Renaissance, or the messianic and socialist revolutions of the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It's a civil war to destroy civilisation, values, the family and children, a biological war. It is the reign of the man of anomie, mentioned in the Epistle to the Thessalonians.
The war of the nihilistic West
From this perspective, NATO's war against Russia in Ukraine appears to be a confrontation between the nihilistic West, which is in the process of committing mass suicide, and the rest of humanity. An examination of the military advances towards the Russian border since the 1990s, despite the outstretched hand of Russia's leaders to the West, shows that this war has been imposed on Moscow, which is in a defensive position. But this is not just a military expansion of the Anglo-American Judeo-Protestant thalassocracy on the Old Continent, which it is using as a bridgehead against Russia. It is an advance of the forces of nihilism, in the form of LGBTism, economic self-destruction and biological warfare.
On Russia's doorstep, Ukraine, colonised by the United States, has been transformed into a platform for gay pride, child trafficking, ethnic cleansing and the manufacture of biological weapons in Uncle Sam's laboratories. Ukraine has become the symbolic frontier between the two worlds at war, the world that promotes the death of body and soul, and the world of a people who have just risen from the ashes, and who have returned to Christianity after emerging from the nightmares of Communism and neo-liberalism. The war is therefore both physical and metaphysical, military and spiritual.
Three quarters of the world's countries naturally refuse to side with the nihilist camp against Russia. This is not just an expression of multipolarity, but of the instinct for self-preservation in the face of a Western oligarchy that wants to drag the rest of the world into an economic, societal and demographic black hole ; into the chaos of global civil war. Russia, as a continental nuclear power battling it out with NATO, finds itself playing the leading role in this existential world war.
For the caste at the head of the West, this war is necessary for its survival. It is a paradoxical behaviour that consists of destroying the peoples it dominates while preserving a will to power and a desire for world domination. It deprives itself of the power necessary for hegemony through its policy of demographic and industrial contraction. War against Russia or any other enemy is also a way of escaping the internal contradictions of the Western system ; but in so doing, it falls into another contradiction, that of liberal regimes at war. Liberalism is fundamentally opposed to the notion of politics, the community and the State. « Political unity must require, if need be, the sacrifice of one's life. But the individualism of liberal thought can in no way meet or justify this requirement », explained Carl Schmitt. If Western leaders want to win acceptance for the war against Russia, they have to be at one with their people, but their policy is the opposite of this elementary rule. They are waging a double war : internally, against their own people, and externally, against Russia. What's more, Westerners, who are largely atheist, cannot be mobilised in a war in the name of LGBTism, nor can they accept for very long the socio-economic damage it is causing.
Liberalism has thus been abandoned by the globalist Western elites because it has become a brake for them in the paradigm of neo-capitalism and in the current context of war.
This anomic model adopted by the West can only be exported to sick societies. The rest of humanity, which aspires to live in family normality and peace, rejects Anglo-American Judeo-Protestant unipolarity, which is the reign of chaos. This is one of the causes, if not an important dimension, of the birth of the multipolar world. We can discuss the degree of multipolar authenticity of the BRICS, and wonder whether it is not another form of globalism, since the major powers that make them up are technophiles, and have adopted the digital tools that enable them to monitor every citizen. In this, they are still imitating the West.
But the standardisation of the world has its conditions, namely the existence of a superpower that dominates all nations, a single decision-making centre and a global religion or ideology. But the American hyperpower is in decline, it no longer has the means to dominate the planet, and its liberal ideology no longer exists in practice. The American nightmare is no longer attractive. No normally constituted nation wants wokism, race war and recession.
What fundamentally exists is the diversity of peoples and cultures, and political regimes that correspond to the anthropology of each nation. The Western political system is degenerating because it reflects atheistic and disoriented societies.
From the point of view of the West's geopolitical and geo-economic rivals, the race for technology is of paramount importance ; their survival as States and as high-ranking powers depends on it. However, the pitfall is to follow this mortifying West down the path of transhumanism, which is already being developed in Russia and China.
Multipolarity will remain a fact as long as politics and the State exist. The BRICS are not intended to develop an ideological alternative to the West for the world. Each nation, each civilisation must follow its own path and build its own model by ridding itself of the alienating avatars of the declining Anglo-American Judeo-Protestant hegemon.
