February 28, 2018. House search and a new criminal case.
On the morning of that day, twenty-five prosecutors and investigators from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office entered my home to search it based on false accusations of influence peddling. That day I learned that I had the status of a suspect, which very quickly changed to that of an accused.
I'll start with a short introduction. Following a press release released in early March 2018 that I distributed in several languages and published abroad, conservative circles learned that I had become the target of criminal persecution by the criminal regime in my country. Several intellectuals from various countries made public statements in my support. Among them were Claudio Mutti and Giulietto Chiesa (Italy), Levan Vasadze (Georgia), Aleksandr Dugin (Russia) and a few others. The information also reached my French friends.
Alexander Dugin : freedom Iurie Rosca;
Aleksandr Dugin : svobodu Yuriyu Roshka
Levan Vasadze : message moldovan authorities about Rosca case
I see that the text of my statement was also preserved in full on the same site:
Iurie Rosca : regime preparing send me prison or it just simple error procedure.
Interview who decided jail moldovan opposition journalist and civic activist Iurie Rosca.
As a spicy detail that completes the picture of the withdrawal of Dugin's team from any relationship with me, I note the following. Miss Sofia Metelkina, the professor's assistant, with whom I collaborated very well for several years and had a friendly relationship, deleted me from her contact list. It was clear from the notification that came to me on Telegram.
2018. August. I visited Moscow to meet with Professor Aleksandr Dugin to agree on the program and basic invitations for the Chisinau Forum that year. I had noticed for several months that he was avoiding talking to me and was not willing to further engage in our joint project. After a few days of waiting, I met with him at the headquarters of the Eurasianist Movement, in his office. The professor was hesitant, looking for excuses to avoid further involvement in the work of the Chisinau Forum. He asked me about my relationship with Igor Dodon, Putin's exponent as head of state, but who was in fact under the control of Moldovan oligarch Vladimir Pahotniuc.
I told him that I no longer have any relations with Dodon, because he had shown himself to be corrupt and hostile to our national interests. Dugin opined that in this case the delegates present at the previous meetings would not want to come since they would not benefit from the attention of the head of state. After that, he asked me how the criminal investigation targeting me was going. I told him that the situation was very difficult and that I would most likely be convicted. The professor replied that under the current circumstances, it seemed that things had become increasingly precarious for the future of the forum. This served as a pretext for him to disengage from our joint activity. Thus, I missed the organization of the 2018 edition of the Chisinau Forum.
So, after I began to harshly criticize Putin's exponent in the position of President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, who turned out to be corrupt and subordinate to the main mafia in our country, Vladimir Plahotniuc, Professor Dugin no longer risked personally participating in subsequent meetings of the Chisinau Forum. He sent his daughter, Daria, who, although a remarkable person, could not cover the absence of her father. And this situation confirms once again that Dugin was and is forced to demonstrate a certain kind of obedience to the state authorities. Perhaps such an attitude is understandable in today's Russia. Obedience in exchange for personal security, that's what it could be about.
